Here are some of the portable solar phone rechargers available now. I bought two and gave one to my housekeepers son

The two I bought originally can charge through any USB port or AC outlet or by the Sun and so all you need to do is to plug your phone into one of these to recharge it. However, solar charging is very very slow and only really useful in some kind of emergency. What I could imagine would be that you would be remote and your phone battery died and then you plugged your phone into one of these while it was recharging in the sun to make an emergency call that might save your life. However, if you believe you can suddenly recharge your phone from the sun that isn't happening because the solar recharge is incredibly slow.
