Since about 1/2 of our house in Santa Barbara is sort of in a cloud of cement dust from jackhammering we decided we didn't want to get sick from the Dust (even though all the bedrooms and bathrooms are shut off from the cement Dust. But, it's hard to live in just your bedrooms and bathrooms usually too. So, we returned home to the SF Bay Area and left Santa Barbara at least for now.
The ride up was mostly uneventful today except that it was drizzling high fog along the coast so when we went to eat outside in Montecito today for breakfast meeting friends there we realized they weren't serving outside because everything was wet from drizzle outside so we had to eat inside. Then we had loaded our car and dog for the trip so after Brunch with friends we headed north.
We finally saw the sun which was beautiful by Buellton today and it was sunny and nice and mostly 70s and 80s all the way north until we got to the ocean near where we live it was overcast.
However, all the people in the hospital got out that we know except one. It's always good to get out of the hospital because they wake you up every 2 hours so you really cannot sleep there very well. I find I'm always sort of grouchy from being woken up all the time myself. However, often the nurses and doctors are great. The biggest problem I have had is trying to get checked out of the hospital sometimes they make you wait up to 24 hours when they are supposed to let you out. The last time I was there I almost just got up and left without checking out but that might mess up my Medicare or other insurance doing that so that usually isn't a good idea just checking yourself out of a hospital in case you ever need to go back there for something serious.
