One of our housekeepers was telling us that it has been foggy almost every day since we left and headed to Mt. Shasta and Portland Oregon during the past 3 weeks. However, the sun came out yesterday which was nice after we returned to the coast and she said the 4th of July there was sun here on the coast. So, basically fog since mid June now into Wednesday July 9th. However, this isn't unusual here on the Northern California coast any time between June and September these days.
It's often called "The June Glooms" as a nickname here on the NORCAL Coast.
So, after temperatures and sun up to 105 degrees while traveling it is sort of hard to get used to the "June Glooms" once again.
