It takes a lot to survive in this world

For me, personally I was always very observant and watched carefully the adults in my life. This served me well on many different levels. I thought most children were kind of silly and self destructive when I was a child and many didn't survive to adulthood in the 1950s past 20 or 30 years of age because of not being serious enough to survive everything.

I think having whooping cough and almost dying from this at 2 was one of the things that changed me to being a much more serious child. In fact, my best friend in Junior High and HIgh School had polio and wore leg braces until he was 6 years old even though he recovered nicely after that. So, we tended to take life more serious than our more silly classmates. So, we survived when many others didn't between especially 12 and 25 or 30 years of age.

It takes a lot to survive in this world no matter who you are. You never know what you are going to have to deal with wherever you grow up. I used to think that Rich kids had the best chances of survival but this often isn't the case at all.

Money can hide a lot of things and cause kids to be raised by nannies while the parents are doing God knows what in rich families. So, this can cause a lot of psychological problems in rich kids too.

Like the song says "Money can't buy me Love".
