Often there is no one to talk to about what you need to talk about. So, one way to deal with this problem is to simply create yourself as a therapist.
How do you do this?
Things you need to get out you can write down and if they are secret hide them some place no one can find them.
Then later, a day a week an hour a year or more you read what you have written and you then are your own therapist.
When in the middle of a crisis you write down what helps you.
For example, in 1994 I was going through a horrible divorce and didn't really see a way forward for myself. I was 46 years old in 1994 and I needed to self counsel at this time so I could find a way forward and survive all the things I was going through.
I found during this period in my life that writing some form of Haiku about what I was going through helped.
Here is an attempt at Haiku regarding the U.S. right now:
Is Democracy Dead?
It's still alive in me.
Others it might be alive in too, worldwide
But, this is about Democracy around the world right now which is sort of going out of fashion many people say. However, Democracy is an alternative to people killing each other over disagreements.
And without democracy it is inevitable that millions and millions will die.
This is what World wAr II was fought about (At least in regard to the U.S., Canada and Europe). So, 65 to 85 million men and women died to protect Democracy which is the alternative to constant warefare and torture and people dying.
Democracy isn't easy but it's necessary unless you want to see civilization end and most people on earth die horribly.
So, writing down what you think is going on inside and around you in your life can help you to survive when times are tough like now all over the earth.
However, then be careful who you share your ideas with because some might agree with you and others might not. This is just what happens to all us human beings on earth 24 hours a day.
