1999, 2009, 2011 and now 2025: When I have visited different parts of Europe in the Fall of each of these years.

I had just gotten over my heart virus that almost killed me in May of 1999 and so in the fall I took my then 10 year old daughter to Europe (by the way she now lives here with her husband who grew up here and her 1 year old daughter. This is who we are visiting here this time. I also took my mother who was about 80 years old then (which might have been a mistake for her), because we think she got Transfer Trauma because of her advanced age and the fact that she was still upset with Germany from killing a good friend of hers at the Battle of the Bulge from Church who was cut in two by a burst of machine gun fire. So, she wasn't happy to be in Germany at all. But, she was okay in Scotland where her mother grew up and in England also. She just couldn't cope at all with Germany because of World war II she was born in 1919 so she was about 20 when the Battle of Britain Began in England.

Anyway I haven't been here for about 14 years the last time we visited England and Scotland. There was another trip I was supposed to take with my two daughters and wife in 2018 to England, Scotland and Ireland but I got sick from a medicine going sideways and so had to have my son care for me in Portland, Oregon while I sent my wife and two daughters to Ireland, Scotland and England. This is a trip I cannot get back but at least I survived the medicine that went sideways and stayed alive. However, because my family practitioner Doctor diagnosed the problem I didn't have to go to the hospital and was able to recover just with my son taking care of me in Portland since he has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from a California State University

So, in 1999 I took my mother and then 10 year old older daughter and 80 year old mother to Scotland and England and Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Northern Italy through the Swiss Tunnels to Aosta, Italy and up into the mountains there to where I could see the Matterhorn in the distance.

Then in 2009 my wife wanted to go to Paris, France and I didn't want to go (not knowing about That part of Europe really because I had never been there before. So, I didn't want to go. However, it was one of the most fun trips I had ever been on. Why?

Because of the Seine River going through Paris and riding on a tour boat with really amazing people. Even the drunk man on the side of the river who mooned the entire ship of people was funny and entertaining (mooned means pulling your pants down and showing people your bare butt).

Then we went up the Eiffel Tower which was a really amazing experience both during the day and at night all lit up.

Then we went to Versailles which is something you really don't want to miss. However, I couldn't really breathe well in the Louvre because they don't seem to ventilate that place and felt I was going to die before I found a way out of there.

However, for me personally the Eiffel Tower, Versailles, and the Moulin Rouge were the best things I did in Paris in 2009.

Then we took a TGV which is a high Speed Train to Nice, France on the Cote D'Azure (French Riviera) which was amazing. Then we rented a Mercedes station wagon that was a diesel (they are quiet here and not stinky like American Diesels by the way) and drove to Monaco and we also went to Monte Carlo which is the main city in Monaco.

So, this was a truly Amazing and wonderful Trip and we stayed at Roosevelt Hotel named after FDR our president during World War II in Nice, France which was wonderful too. An amazing amount of wealth in Monaco and Nice with hundreds of private jets there in Nice and hundreds of amazing yachts in Monte Carlo too. Amazing places both Paris and Nice and Monaco and Monte Carlo to visit by the way.
