I woke up around 1 am tonight wondering how many moments or seconds I had lived. In the title is how many seconds when I turn 78 in a few months. It's interesting to me how moments are described as "The blink of an eye!" This is fascinating to me because I always thought moments were seconds but it's likely a moment was thought of before a second was timed and so likely a moment existed (at least theoretically) before a second was invented as a unit of time.
However, anyway you look at it whether seconds or moments this is a whole lot of moments and seconds that you live when you turn 78 years old!
One of my sayings for myself surviving this long is: "I survive only one moment at a time". I have found thinking any other way doesn't allow me to adapt and to survive at all. I discovered this about myself in my early 20s when I realized planning doesn't really work at all for me. Why?
Because everything changes in ways you cannot or will not accept. So, you sort of have to take an attitude of "Surprise me, God!" and take life as an adventure you live moment by moment with your friend and buddy, God!" This has always worked for me ever since my early 20s. Nothing else really worked for me at all.

Based on a standard 365.25-day year (accounting for leap years), 78 years contains
approximately:- Seconds: 2,462,304,000 seconds.
- Moments: If defining a "moment" as a blink of an eye (approx. 0.3 seconds), there are roughly 8.2 billion moments in 78 years.
Breakdown of the calculation:
- 1 year 31,557,600 seconds (using 365.25 days).
- 78 years 31,557,600 seconds2.46 billion seconds.
This equates to approximately 28,490 days or 683,760 hours.
