I tried to write something but likely the AI disappeared it regarding Richard Farina and "Been Down So Long it looks like Up to Me"
The point I was trying to make when I was so rudely interfered with by the AI was that Richard Farina and Jack Kerouac were very influential Writers especially around the unfoldment of Men in the 1950s and 1960s. It gave men some place to go rather than just suicide and of being your own man and not just dying as a soldier somewhere on earth.
For thousands of years young men have always been expendable by Nations and tribes through warfare. It's a given. So, when you strike out in a new direction away from all of that it changes the world a lot.
For example, I didn't have to get drafted and die in Viet Nam so I am very grateful to God for that blessing because I have met so very many men and boys whose lived were either cut short by that war or who lived on the streets until they died and some are still living on the streets from severe PTSD still now.
So, finding a way forward where you actually want to be alive and to have and raise a family was what I took from these two writers so life was happy enough to even want to live at all.
So, both Richard Farina and Jack Kerouac helped young men to allow themselves to stay alive and not just die all over the place in unneeded and unnecessary wars like they had for thousands of years already.
