Generating Compassion

This is likely a Buddhist Concept even though it can lead to complete enlightenment in a person anywhere on earth or even on other planets out in space or between planets.

Most people learn to generate compassion by using Mantras or initiations but usually both.

My first Tibetan Buddhist Initiation was in 1980 in Ashland Oregon above what is called now "The Green Leaf Restaurant" where a son of my best friend used to be the head cook there. He is now a CPA living in that area still.

The Tibetan Buddhist Initiation I received first from Gyaltrul Rinpoche there was "The Sword which pierces all Defilement" also known as the "Thousand Buddhas Empowerment".

I had been having a time trying to get to "Non-dualism" which is something that is a part of Tibetan Buddhism and Buddhism in General.

The best way a western mind can encompass this would be to say I believe:

Descartes philosophic premise which is also my life experience as a human physical being here on earth which is:

"There is nothing so good that no bad can come of it and nothing so bad that no good may come of it."

This truism helps me a lot in my life and basically takes me to:

"There are no problems only opportunities" which saved my life in 1994 and 1995 by taking this to heart.

My best friend from childhood in Church who was a teacher and had a Master's degree in Psychology gave me this truism and when I took this to heart in a deep way I saved my own life as well as my children's lives then too. And then I had another daughter and this saved her life too as well as all my children who are now 30 to 52 years old (my biological children) because I have step children as well 53 and 55 years old too.

However, my teacher friend died in 2006 from a heart attack at age 62 years old and my high school best friend died in 2011 too. So, I have one good friend left from climbing mountains like Mt. Shasta still from 1969 on. But, only my 83 year old Cousin is still alive who is like a brother to me who was also raised in Los Angeles County mostly like me too who now lives in Orange county at this point.

The point is Generating Compassion is sort of like being an electrical generator of power. This is a good way to think about it.

So, as you generate compassion from your prayers and visualizations and mantras your aura changes a lot and you become a healing generator of compassion upon all life everywhere.

Then your aura grows and grows until your compassion encompasses first the Earth and then the Galaxy and then the whole universe.

This all really happens if you stay with your practices and prayers and mantras and you start to raise up everyone you meet or see for miles around you as you go through life.

This is what can really happen over time as you become a Generator of Compassion for all life in the Universe.

By God's Grace

Generating Compassion

When I first started learning to generate compassion as a life choice I met my first Tibetan Lama and realized that a compassionate path was the right path for me and my soul. I was 32 at the time of this realization. Part of what convinced me of this was that I saw that every thing that I thought or felt affected me in my spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health first. So, it was in my enlightened self interest to have compassion for all life in the universe in all time and space because experiencing this would heal me first in every way while also healing all life in the universe in all time and space along the way. I have never regretted this decision once. This was in 1980.

So, I owe this decision to having experiences like: Blue Medicine Buddha and his Healing Dragon
and many others that I write about as a direct result. So, what happens as one learns to generate compassion. The first realization is that generating compassion is a conscious choice. It is sort of like putting money in a savings account for when you need it. But instead of money you are putting compassion into your subconscious mind and aura and field of awareness. So, your bank is you and your health and life experiences. So, you are sort of taking responsibility for your own mental and physical health by choosing to think thoughts that will make you more compassionate towards yourself and all beings in the universe. So, how did I start?

For me, I held onto a beginning prayer in Tibetan Buddhism that I found I really love. I find myself often waking up saying it to myself in my mind and sometimes I go to sleep saying it over and over to myself in my mind. But, it isn't saying it that is important to me, it is experiencing the truth of it throughout the universe in every time and space that is important to me. It is experiencing all life in the universe in every time and space saying this and experiencing this with me that is important. For some people this would be scary because they might not understand the nature of the mind or subconscious. A subconscious is a lot like a computer, if you put garbage into it you only get garbage back out. But if you only put really good stuff into it, you only get really good stuff back out into your life and the lives of everyone else. So, then this is the prayer that I started with and still do when I feel like doing it.

May all beings attain bliss and the cause of bliss
May all beings be free from suffering and the cause of suffering
May all beings never be without the Supreme Bliss that is free
from all near and far all grasping and aversion

To say it is one thing, to constantly experience all beings in the universe saying and experiencing this with you is extremely powerful.

What I also found interesting is that Buddhism to a Christian is not a religion but a  philosophy instead. So, often Christians including priests and ministers are doing the same thing I am and have been doing for 32 years now as it helps them generate compassion and forgiveness towards all beings. This is the exact opposite of feeling hatred or anger towards other parts of life.

Another thing that might be useful for you to know about. As an intuitive and precognitive psychic I see what creates fights and murders and cruelty towards others in a supernatural way. And it is mostly just uncontrolled hatred and anger. And this anger from many millions of people joins together and creates fights, wars, cruelty and mass deaths that often creates wars.

So, if you want to create Peace then generate compassion as a spiritually responsible person. How I do it is one way that is compatible with not only Christianity but most other religions as well. In this way you spiritually help create peace instead of war. When war manifest millions of people suffer and die horribly as in World War II. But by generating compassion you are generating world Peace and your own peace and health as well.

Generating Compassion

Choosing to generate compassion often comes from dealing with direct suffering of one kind or another in one's own life. One looks around and sees children making mostly bad decisions by not being completely honest with themselves or others. One sees some around one horrified at the dishonesty and confusion and succumbing to horror through one kind of addiction or another. Somehow one decides to be a good and positive influence on oneself and the world and chooses to be compassionate both to oneself and to all beings. At this point being compassionate to oneself and all beings becomes a life long discipline of becoming a seeker of compassion and wisdom and practicality in all things. As one moves through life seeking truth, compassion and wisdom often one becomes enlightened in multiple ways. So, since one knows that one is becoming enlightened one looks to help others and self in any useful practical compassionate way that is possible. By refining methods of compassion and by becoming ever more efficient in one's actions towards compassion, one's own life as well as family and friends and acquaintances lives become more happy, useful, compassionate and helpful to all life on earth and beyond. As more and more people learn to generate compassion throughout their lives the world becomes a better place for all beings.

Generating Compassion

First of all, generating compassion is a decision one makes like the decision to go to college or to go out and drive in a car on a long journey. One assesses the needs of life and one responds to those needs.

Also, there is idiot compassion and there is wise right mindful compassion. Idiot compassion often will get someone killed or maimed. Right mindful compassion is figuring out the most efficient way to help someone or a group of beings so the most compassionate benefit to all beings occurs almost automatically.Wise Right mindful compassion usually keeps the one being compassionate alive, healthy and sane as well.

Then there is crazy wisdom compassion. Crazy wisdom compassion is being evolved enough to almost die while saving people, especially children, for example, saving a child or unaware person from being hit by a car or other serious calamity in the nick of time.

I am a practitioner of wise right mindful compassion and crazy wisdom compassion as well. However, I would say wise right mindful compassion is being ultimately practical and crazy wisdom as being ultimately efficient but still practical so that everyone survives.

The easiest place to start with all this is to first learn to generate compassion for your family and friends. Most of the time this is easy to do. Then one can generate compassion for their city or area and then their country and then the whole world. I decided about 30 years ago or more to generate compassion towards all beings in the universe in all time and space. If you live in a dualistic reality this might be hard for some of you who define all reality as good and bad. I tend to look at beings as infinite shades of gray. All beings are sort of like the weather. It rain, snow, wind, hail good or bad? It depends upon the circumstances mostly. The same is true of all beings. So why not have compassion for all the trillions of beings somewhat like us throughout the known universe? We all live here together. We may all meet each other one day so let's get ready now. Also, since it is my experience now that all time and space is connected here and now in my heart and mind I do experience the union of all like minded compassionate beings in the universe in all time and space. This is not theoretical. It is more real than my living in a body here on earth. This alliance with all compassionate beings in all time and space makes me stronger as a compassionate being than I ever thought possible as a human on earth.
