If you Believe in God

I find that having a personal covenant with God is more useful than believing in any one religion, even though I believe in Jesus and Buddha and many other sacred beings like Archangel Michael, Mary the Mother of Jesus and the 21 Taras of Tibetan Buddhism and many other dieties. However, it didn't start out that way when I was 15 years old or so.

So, by age 17 or 18 or later I decided I needed a Covenant with God. It's sort of an agreement you make with God similar to an agreement you make buying a home or car or in regard to going to college.

If you think of God as a good Being who is helping you like a friend or mentor or relative I think this might be the most useful. What you don't want is an adversarial relationship with God.

If you have an adversarial relationship with God you are going to lose. No one wins against God.

However, if God is your friend and helper or mentor then you only will win as long as you keep whatever agreement you made with God.

This is a sample Covenant to help you with this:

God, You created everything in the universe in the past, present and future.
I am overwhelmed with the universe you have created.
I intend to have compassion for myself and for all beings in the universe that you have created.
I will whenever practical to do so help any beings that I sense I can help in some practical way.

Also, when you are giving out gifts think of me as I am one of your trillions of children throughout the universe.

Please help me in any way that you can and help my wife and children and grandchildren down through the centuries too.

I am happy to help myself and all your creation in any practical way that I can.

This you could sign with your name if you wish or add to it any way you want.

This then becomes the basis of your agreement with God and all Life in the Universe and then you do your best to live this agreement the rest of your life if you wish.

This kind of agreement I feel is 1000% superior to any relationship you have with any religion. Otherwise you are just a slave to that religion without necessarily a personal relationship with God.

So, creating your own personal covenant with God like all or most of the Prophets of the old and New Testament did allows miracles ongoing in your life and the lives of your children and grandchildren on down through time much like Abraham or Moses or Jesus in the Bible. This creates cascades of infinite miracles down through time in your life and the lives of all your descendants ongoing.
