I woke up this morning thinking about North Korea and I came unfortunately to the conclusion that this is the worst thing the world has seen since the Cuban Missile Crisis potentially. It doesn't seem like this to most people because North Korea sort of sounds like a drunk or on drugs homeless person screaming on a corner of a big city somewhere on earth. However, North Korea is not some drunk on drugs homeless person but a nation state and this is the problem. Nation states are not supposed to act like homeless people or terrorists and because of North Korea's actions many unfortunate chain reactions could take place.
It could be argued that these chain reactions have already started. For example, both Russia and China (because of 70 years of history now) likely won't take kindly to the U.S. Buildup of anti-missile batteries in Guam or new U.S. Navy ships surrounding South Korea in preparation for anything crazy North Korea might do. Also, China and Japan have been yelling at each other in regard to both who possesses what islands and who can fish where in the Pacific Ocean. China has also been at odds with the Philippines and other countries as well in the Western Pacific Ocean.
So, North Korea's (drunk or drugged Homeless person's) words do have consequences Globally in a way that I haven't seen before since the end of the last Cold War around 1991.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
