Mo (Tibetan Divination)

Geshela (Geshe Lobsang Gyatso) sometimes would do "MO" for my family and I during the mid 1980s. I happened to find that Wikipedia had a segment written on it so I thought I would share it with you here:

Begin quote:

Mo (divination)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Manjusri, the bodhisattva said to influence the dice during divination.
Mo is a form of divination that is part of the culture and religion of Tibet. The Tibetan people consult Mo when making important decisions about health, work or travel.[1] Mo employs dice and there are books written by various lamas on interpretations for the casting of dice. The answers given by the Mo are regarded as coming from Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of wisdom.[2]
The Mo prediction manual was composed by Jamgon Ju Mipham Gyatso,[2] a great scholar and saint of the Nyingmapa tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The Mo prediction manual is based primarily upon the Kalachakra Tantra and supplementary explanations from the Ocean of Dakinis.[2] To use the Mo divination one must a have a question in mind and roll the dice. The dice's outcome will indicate an answer in the prediction manual. The answer in the manual should answer your question but may need some interpreting.[2]
The Dalai Lama consults the Mo divination when making important decisions.[3]

Like the Tarot in some ways "Mo" is based upon "Synchonicity". A good way of expressing this is that what happens one place also happens in another at the same time. So, whether it is micro or macro there are similarities to existence in any given moment that carries through out all Space within any given time.

Another way to put this is that one any given day we are all experiencing similar types of influences which is why Astrology sometimes works too, especially if you do a full star chart and not just look at Sun signs.
