While traveling around this summer the hottest I ever experienced was about 106 degrees Fahrenheit here in California. However, today I was surprised when our car thermometer said it was 102 degrees. I realized it likely was this hot and even when I got back to our home on the coast it was still almost 80 degrees. So, just five miles from us was 102 degrees. Our whole area is expecting temperatures in this range for a few days.
