Though Smart chip credit cards and atm cards are safer at the counter when you buy something, they are less safe when you walk around with them in your wallet because of scanners likely designed in Russia or China. So, if you don't have one of those aluminum fiber sheaths for your chipped cards eventually someone is going to steal your info on your chipped cards and steal your identity through this or these chipped cards.
So, as technology in regard to ATM cards gets better, hackers also are getting better and stealing your identity and created their own credit cards and ATM cards from your identity anywhere on earth.
So, being forewarned is being forearmed in this present world situation.
You could, I suppose just stay with non-chipped ATM and credit cards but then you become vulnerable to point of sale loss of identity like what happened to Target and other retailers and the government over the years too.
So, with chipped cards even though you aren't as vulnerable at point of sale because of added security, you still need to sheath them to protect yourself from nearby people with scanner devices.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
