Belief

I realized today writing this article might be useful to many of you around the world. The most common beliefs I find center around either Believing in One God (like Judaism, Christianity and Islam) and other mystical groups like Mystical Christians, Sufis and other mystical groups associated with believing in one God do.

Then there is Hinduism which is polytheistic which means there are many Gods but the primary ones are:

Brahma-The Creator
Vishnu- The Preserver
Shiva- The Destroyer

However, Shiva is not bad he simply helps civilizations start over when it is time so they can be reborn into a new civilization

Then there is Buddhism.

I see all these and other religions as useful to people depending upon their cultural inclinations and mind sets all over the world.

In Europe and the U.S. we tend to be very attached to there being only 1 God so often a polytheistic religion might not make sense to us in this context.

And sometimes Buddhism wouldn't make any sense to have a religion where God doesn't exist at all.

However, in Buddhism there is still a hierarchy of Buddhas and there is Vajrasattva and Nyema who are the highest Buddhas in the physical universe before moving into the formless realms.

So, the differences are mostly semantic and not actual if you actually study Buddhism.

However, the thing with Buddhism is a definition of a God is different which is what throws most Christians off for example.

A God is not a desirable thing to Be because a God is someone who is selfish and doesn't share enough and often after using up his or her good karma falls into a hell realm according to Buddhism.

So, the goal in Buddhism is not to become a God because a God can be selfish and fall into a hell realm.

Let's say a billionaire  was considered to be a God for example. If he didn't help people enough while he was a God and just was selfish then according to Buddhism he eventually would fall into a hell realm because he didn't do enough for the poor and suffering.

So, this is a lot about what Buddhism is about. It is about having compassion for yourself and others so you become enlightened instead of Becoming a God which to Buddhism is not a desirable thing because of what I shared already.

By God's Grace

Because my beliefs span many religions as well as my own experiences through studying comparative religion I see myself as a Christian but also as a Tibetan Buddhist as well. So, I believe in  God because I find it useful as an ever evolving soul.
