Mechanized tunnel building across the border

It's not surprising to me that there will be tunnel after tunnel now under the Mexico U.S. border to smuggle people and drugs. Why?

Because there is technology now to do this. All you need is something like an electric Ditch Witch to dig straight through whatever you want to dig through and people to haul the debris back up to the surface on the Mexico Side. It isn't a hard thing to do with all the technology available at present. This is why building a big border wall was always a ridiculous proposition to begin with.

It's like building a castle which was always vulnerable as soon as people built gunpowder and cannons. The same with knights in armor and guns and cannons. Big things can be knocked down or conquered in all sorts of ways. Not to think this way is just to be ignorant.
