The U.S. had 10,144 new cases today. Italy was only 5,210 new cases as of today so by next week will will likely pass Italy in total number of cases and by the week after that we will also pass China in total number of cases very likely too. China's total cases registered is: 81,218 cases and 3,281 deaths. Italy has already lost twice as many as China says it lost even though I don't believe China's numbers for a variety of reasons.

33 doctors have already died in Italy from Coronavirus
Italy now has 74,386 cases of coronavirus with 9,362 recovered and 7,503 dead with 681 who died just today which means Italy has now lost twice as many people are China did (at least according to the Chinese government).
Today Spain has more new cases than Italy of 5553 new cases just today. They had to open an ice rink as a morgue in Madrid I believe this week because they had nowhere to put all the bodies of the dead. 454 dead just today with a total of 3,445 dead in Spain so far.
Most countries don't allow funerals because that also would spread the coronavirus too so bodies are piling up in morgues and ice rinks and places with refrigeration all over the place because of this.
Countries without enough refrigeration likely will have to just create mass graves especially in the middle East and Africa and other places with less access to large refrigerated areas where bodies could be stored without creating more diseases.
You can't just leave bodies unburied and unrefrigerated without creating even worse problems to deal with around the world.
