Most important premise regarding all software:

"If at first you don't succeed try try again."

Why is this important in regard to all software?

Here is the best way to understand this.

Humans have had hundreds of thousands and likely millions of years of evolution to get to here. How many people had to die in ridiculous ways for us to get here? How many people have you seen die that didn't need to in your lifetime?

IF humans took thousands and millions of years to get to where they are presently, how long is software and robotics going to take to get to where humans are now?

The answer is probably never in some ways.

But, if you don't want robots to become exactly like humans then how will the human race survive something that alien? Humans might not be able to anticipate their demise in time to protect themselves when they least expect it.

The man cut in two by his software in his Tesla model S in Florida is a perfect example, when his software mistook a semi truck turning in front of the car for a roadside sign and sheared off everything from the windows up in the car down to the hood.

Look at the cyberattacks on businesses right now around the world.

Think about how much worse all this could get before we are done.

Then think about the man cut in two by his software watching a Harry Potter movie in Florida while letting his car drive his car when he wasn't supposed to.
