According to records that were taken by Padmasambhava to King Trisondetsun in Tibet, Jesus lived to be around 85 years old and was called Saint Issa and had many children with his wife, Mary Magdalene in India after he resurrected his body and went up into the sky. This information came from Nalanda Buddhist University that was eventually sacked by the Moghuls when they conquered India. So, most records of Jesus were likely destroyed by the Romans and others to prevent the Christian religion from Spreading. And if you look at how many prophets were killed by the Romans and others back then you can understand the interest of the Roman Government of wiping out all memory of Jesus from their people, especially in Rome. So, Christians had to hide and worship in the catacombs under Rome in order to not be killed by the Roman government in those times.
Also, going up into the sky and "flying" is a well known Himalayan Siddhi which many yogis have accomplished. I think it takes a qualified person between 2 and 5 years meditating in a cave or something to accomplish this. However, since planes were invented people don't do this as much because it is easier to work for a week or less, buy a ticket anywhere on earth and do that instead of taking 2 to 5 years to accomplish the same thing.
However, I don't think people who can fly cross oceans this way because it likely would be too tiring and also having nowhere to rest but in the ocean with the sharks and fish and currents and waves along the way. So, even then people would travel by boat to get somewhere and only fly in the landed areas of the world. However, it might be possible to levitate to an island if it isn't too far off the coast.
