SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The National Weather Service forecast for the greater San Francisco Bay Area for Friday calls for up to 100 percent chances of heavy rain, especially in the North Bay where flooding remains likely in most areas.
“Simply put, Friday will be a wet one,” the National Weather Service said.
According to KRON4 Meteorologist John Shrable, Friday will bring the heaviest rainfall for the rest of the Bay Area after having seen the North Bay experience heavy rain for multiple days now.
“Because of multiple days of heavy rain flooding concerns continue in the North Bay, especially for Sonoma and Mendocino counties,” Shrable said. “Some of the very heaviest of rainfall will likely be right around the evening commute tonight. Snow will pile up in the Sierra this weekend with multiple feet at many of our resorts.”
Saturday is expected to bring a few scattered showers before rain starts up again Sunday, according to Shrable.
