I think Trump's tariffs will make everything more expensive in the U.S. and push China into a more Significant economic downturn as well

It's pretty obvious that Trump's plans will take the U.S. into another Great Depression so far reminiscent of Herbert Hoover's descent into Hell that brought about the Great Depression. Hoover was also a president who thought that running a government like a Business was a good idea. This ONLY caused the Great Depression because a government and a business are two very very very different things.

A Government is a Social Welfare system from the military to the police to help in emergencies to Social Security to protecting our food and water and air from pollution. Just look at people in New Delhi India and how they cannot even breathe their air. This could be here right now in places like Los Angeles and other cities.

A Government is needed to help protect the people's air and water and food and their well being. Otherwise a government has no function at all or any need to exist.

So, a government is basically the opposite of a business so trying to run it like one usually results in economic disaster for the whole country like during the Great Depression caused by Herbert Hoover who was also a Republican like Trump.
