The problem I'm having with it is the whole Bene Gesserit thing. It's sort of like it makes you hate religious orders if you already didn't already. I'm thinking someone that really hated religions or was an atheist wrote this maybe. However, sometimes things get better as you watch more of them.
For example, my wife and I totally hated Deadpool and Wolverine (the first half) and had really given up completely on this movie but then the 2nd half we found interesting.
I would describe the 1st half of Deadpool and Wolverine as "OVERKILL" which made you wonder why you had ever watched this movie in the first place? But, the 2nd half was more interesting.
So, hopefully this is all SETUP and preparing the audience for more interesting stuff and that's all in Dune Prophecy because it's a series and not just another movie.
By the way the 6th and last episode will air December 22th 2024.
So, it might be something like House of the Dragon in the future or something eventually.
NOTE: This is the next morning after I wrote the above. Luckily, about 40 to 45 minutes into the first episode the tediousness of Dune Prophecy finally starts to get interesting. This reminds me like I said before of Deadpool and Wolverine in this.
I was falling to sleep watching this thing last night with absolute boredom. However, about 40 to 45 minutes into the first episode it does begin to get interesting.
