I was sitting out in the sun at our outdoor table with a beach umbrella so I didn't get burnt up in the sun this morning which was nice. Though it's only 60 degrees out it gets much warmer on our deck in the sun because our house is in the shape of an L which blocks the wind off the ocean so it can be really nice in the sun year around out on the deck. Also, we play doggie soccer with our Corgi out on our deck too because the deck is a pretty big one. We used to have a redwood Deck but now it would have cost about 200,000 dollars to replace that redwood deck so we went with Timber Tech plastic wood which lasts 20 or 30 years too and they don't have to cut any more redwood trees because there aren't that many left in California which is the only place they tend to grow because of the climate and soil here. They like the fog off the ocean a lot and the soil on the coast of California a lot too.
But, last night was the first real howling soaker of the season so far where you really didn't want to be out in it at all whether on foot or in a car or truck.
But, we are obviously starting off our rainy season with a Bang! last night!
NOTE: I think it was around 60,000 dollars to put on a Timber Tech Deck which is a large one. So, you can see the Timber Tech Plastic wood is very cost effective and redwood is out of reach now for almost any practical person. end note.
