We woke up here on the California coast to rain this morning and it had rained lightly or strongly all last night. However, it's a good storm in that it is very beneficial and so far not destructive. However, if we get many more storms and wind within the next few weeks it is likely that the soil will saturate and trees will start to fall. But, at least this storm is helpful to California mostly and hopefully that will also be true as it continues to snow over the Sierras and Eastward past Colorado too.
Chains still required both directions over interstate 80 too over the Sierras for 2 wheel drive vehicles.
