There is suicide and self destructiveness, and then there is Enlightenment

There are many paths to enlightenment and depending upon your nature and mind stream one or more of these paths to enlightenment likely will work for you.

The biggest problem to enlightenment is the traumas in your life.

However, then there are people like Saint Francis of Asisi who became a Saint because of his PTSD from being a knight and fighting in battle in Italy. The PTSD he experienced was so traumatizing that it made him a Saint. Later many of the knights that fought alongside him (his buddies) became monks in his brotherhood too over time and some ladies he knew became nuns of his order as well.

So, there are many paths to enlightenment including the PTSD route even though I know that some often don't make it after being in battle because of becoming the walking wounded.

We still have Viet Nam Veterans in their 70s with PTSD still on the streets all over the U.S. all these years later by the way.

So, finding a path to Enlightenment is an alternative to self destruction and suicide.

Enlightenment comes in many ways.

For example, a part of my path to Enlightenment came through Going to College. However, I also noticed the dangers of college as well. College is a two edged sword in that it is like a hammer where you can either build a house with that hammer or you can hit yourself or someone else with that hammer in the head and soon be gone, (you or them or both).

So, balance and compassion for yourself and all other beings becomes the first goal in heading for enlightenment.

Then after you are on the path to enlightenment often you can help others there as well.

But, mostly it isn't teaching them personally it is through the example of the life you lead. Most people don't want to listen to you about your path to enlightenment. However, they will observe how you live your life and emulate what you do often if they see you are moving towards enlightenment in your life.

By God's Grace
