The problem with allowing the now 300 million dollars buy Trump like this from Musk is that it is harming our nation economically and in every other way. Though it's true downsizing to some degree (if done efficiently) not like this might be useful, this is NOT that.
This is just willy nilly destroying our government and our economy and our relations with all our friend nations around the world including our nearest neighbors, Canada and Mexico, and making our government (at least Trump and Musk" appear to be as insane as Hitler and Stalin and Mao were in their times.
In China Trump is known as "The Dragon King" because he doesn't care what anyone wants or needs except his own whims of the moment. They sort of see him as a powerful wayward child more than anything else. So, he is a cautionary tale about government even there in China, and someone not to be trusted because of his not caring what anyone wants or needs even to stay alive.
That seems to be Trump's message to the whole World: "YOU CANNOT TRUST ME" and so it's likely that sooner or later Putin or Xi will eliminate him at an opportune time.
