I don't think Europe was ever Pathetic

I think a more useful way to look at this is from someone my age or older who saw just how traumatized everyone was from World WAr II. For example, in 1999 when my mother was 80 years old we flew from Scotland to London and then to Munich, Germany. Then as we got off the plane stewards were yelling at each other in English and German about something. I couldn't really figure out what it was actually but it really upset my mother. Then because an 18 year old "Bruce" had been cut in two by a machine gun burst at the BAttle of the Bulge she didn't really want to be in Germany so she got into the motor home I rented along with my son who was 25 and his friend who had just got his Physics degree from UCSC in Santa Cruz and my 10 year old daughter. But, she refused to get out of this 6 passenger motor home for two weeks and in some ways this was leading up to her senile dementia which she died from  in 2008 almost 10 years later when she was 90.

So, the point I'm making here is that Europe has been so traumatized by World wAr II that in some ways they never psychologically or emotionally recovered from this (especially the people who had to live through it at any age) And Americans were traumatized by it too.

(Just like Europe will be traumatized by what has been happening since 2014 when PUtin attacked Ukraine and took Crimea away from then and have been fighting off and on with Ukraine ever since trying to take more of Ukraine. So, all of Europe was traumatized by World War II and still is to some degree and is now traumatized by what has happened in Ukraine by Putin (who is like Hitler in many ways too).

So, I think a better word for Europe since the 1930s would be severely Traumatized and now traumatized again by what has happened to Ukraine.

And also now Poland is preparing to be attacked by Putin next and Germany is setting aside 600 billion dollars to manufacture arms to fight Putin with over the next few years.

So, "Isn't this a nice Kettle of Fish?"

Sort of like Trump and Musk now as they destroy our democracy for an Oligarchy.
