Why?
Because attacking U.S. Assets might bring down all of the U.S. and Europe on top of Iran and I don't think it could withstand that right now. I think attacking U.S. assets for Iran is suicidal for the present Government of Iran on Many different levels.
It likely is going to pretty much stay ongoing as a war between Israel and Iran and soon I think you will see Iran mobilizing it's armies to attack Israel in Asynchonous ways which could devastate Israel's population because like Hamas they would attack civilians first not soldiers.
This is why I think getting the women and children out of Israel might be important about now.
Because Israel has only been attacked like this on October 7th 2023 and before that in 1948. So, Israel has gotten away with keeping the war mostly out of their country except for October 7th and before that 1948. Israel could easily be attacked by 900,000 plus Iranian troops in an asynchronous manner now. Beyond all the drones and missiles this could also happen now quite easily and relatively quickly because of the carnage in Iran Iranian pride might demand this attack on Israel proper.
