There was one man who had a snare drum like you see in that famous painting from the Revolutionary war of one guy with drumsticks beating a smaller drum and two other guys playing fife or flute in cadence with the drum. So, even though this guy didn't seem to have the right rhythm you had to admire his courage to be walking down the street trying to play a drum. (not sure what he meant by it) but he was one of the more interesting people walking home from the No Kings demonstration.
Most people reminded me a lot of the Anti-War protesters in the late 1960s and early 1970s and often they were the right age to have been these same people. However, it's important to consider these demonstrations went nationwide Saturday which is pretty impressive in itself and were only canceled in one state, Minnesota because 4 people were shot and so far two died and two of the people shot were representatives in the Minnesota STate Senate one a democratic leader there in the state senate.
So, it's not surprising that they stopped the demonstrations in Minnesota to prevent anyone else being shot by the crazy Assassin and because he had "No Kings Demonstration flyers in his car they found already".
What surprised me the most is that I talked to a friend and he said that even Dunsmuir and the little City of Mt. Shasta and likely Redding and Ashland and Medford also had "No Kings" Demonstrations too which is a whole lot of demonstrations against Trump trying to be King of the U.S.
I think these demonstrations might continue to increase in power and ferocity until something changes and takes us back to democracy once again here in the U.S. And away from a Tyrannical Ruler like Trump.
