But, the big difference is that instead of blue skin they have lavender or purple skin but they have the same golden irises as the people of NAVI in Avatar(2009) and in Avatar(2022) the way of the water.
The other difference is that the hair of the people on New Deva is more like strands of rope and a lighter color which comes from adapting to living underwater a lot as amphibians.
Even though they all came from earth (genetically) around 2500 AD and after as colonists it is now 1 million years later on New Deva when Arcane becomes a Priest Scientist of New Deva which means he is very intelligent and intuitively endowed.
The culture there encourages people to develop intellectually and intuitively and even what might be called Supernaturally as long as their developments are helpful to New Deva Society.
Arcane is chosen as a child to be "The planet Saver" of New Deva and only the 2nd person to be given the Name of "Arcane" in their history.
The previous Arcane gave his life for his planet as the first planet saver by riding a water dragon and finding a way to defeat aliens who were attacking their planet at that time. So, Arcane is both honored and might have to die defending his planet like the First Arcane did.
Then he is sent along with Ah Ray IN who is a New Devan Saint he is betrothed too to the Planet Isfahel as a peace envoy as a way to prevent war between New Deva and the planet Isfahel. But, Ah Ray IN is eventually killed by Tech Noir of Isfahel and he tries to turn Arcane to his side to no avail and finally out of desperation because of how supernatural Arcane actually is sends him into another time and place where people are not allowed on earth thousands of years before then.
This is where Arcane meets Earth and Eridian (Meridian) for the first time in this lifetime.
