There is what is happening in the world and then there is what is happening inside of you.
They are two very different things.
The enlightened of every era understood this.
And so when the destroyers of their civilizations came and raped and pillaged like now they went off into the remote regions and stayed alive so that there were some people still educated in how to stay centered through anything who actually survived the deaths of their civilizations on earth.
What is happening now is likely less important than what humans do next both individually and collectively as they watch events like the 120 to 300 people die in Texas from a lack of basic useful information as to what was going to happen to them.
What is the main cause of these deaths?
I would say a lack of good information.
What is that also called: Ignorance.
I experienced this in Nepal and in India when I went there in 1985 and 1986 with my family where most people didn't have even a 1st grade education.
Imagine living somewhere where the average person has not even been to 1st grade?
What happens?
Almost anything can happen where there isn't enough information to survive serious things in your life.
On the one hand "Ignorance is Bliss". Just look at any baby in it's innocence and you will see this beauty of ignorance of what the world is actually like as an adult.
On the other hand could that baby survive without someone who suffers as an adult. NO!
The same is true worldwide where people mostly die of ignorance of one thing or another.
THE MAIN CAUSE OF DEATH OF PEOPLE ON EARTH IS IGNORANCE
This is a really powerful statement and is also very very true.
So, to Drink of Enlightenment's nectar you need to learn a few things.
What is the most important thing to learn?
THAT COMPASSION FOR YOURSELF AND OTHERS IS THE VERY BASIS OF HUMAN CIVILIZATION AND THAT COMPASSION FOR YOURSELF AND OTHERS IS ALSO THE BASIS OF HUMAN ENLIGHTENMENT AND THE KEY TO ENLIGHTENMENT'S NECTAR.
If someone can learn this young enough often they can live to old age and have very good lives.
but, if they don't learn this one thing often their lives are cut short in one way or another.
The point is: "In order to drink of Enlightenment's nectar you have to live long enough to get there."
So, if you don't learn compassion for yourself and all others young enough often you are dead or so maimed that your life basically is over before you have started.
