What this means is that if Kharg Island is bombed out of existence by the U.S. and it's allies then Iran has no reason at all NOT to block the Straight of Hormuz permanently to all traffic by sinking ships there even if they are it's own ships. So, in this way it might take years to clear away all the debris there with underwater cutting torches used by Scuba divers or robot equipment to burn apart those metal ships underwater to clear the passageways there through the Straight of Hormuz.
