More than 1/2 of Americans own stock which is a hedge against inflation and the market has risen 5000 percent since the 1950s

However, during wars like the Iran war the stock market (because of many factors like the price of oil and gas going up so much) this tend to make the market go down a lot. So, what happens is that if people sell their stocks they might have to sell for less than they bought their stocks.

This is why if you are a smart investor you don't invest money you cannot live without for at least 10 years time. People who do often might be driven to bankruptcy at times like this.

And worst of all those who buy on margin tend to get wiped out first during times like these.

So, right now many day traders and margin buyers will go bankrupt because of the Iran War killing their investments.

Though this is unfortunate for many it's important as an investor to think about the long haul and what risks you can manage in your life.

So, unless you can hold onto stocks when there is a downturn like now instead of selling them you probably shouldn't be invested in the stock market anyway.

What makes it worth taking the risk to invest in the stock market in the first place?

Most people will tell you that dividends are the reason it is worth it to buy stocks. Dividends are paid on many stocks (but not all) so before you buy a stock it's important to check if they pay dividends and also how much a percentage of dividends every year.

But, once again you don't want to be invested in stocks unless you can live without that money for 10 years or more. This is the general rule for a long term investor in Stocks because of fluctuations in the values of stocks especially during wars like this one with Iran.

So, as a result of all this spending by Americans will greatly decrease at this point because people's stocks are decreasing in value so they won't be able to afford to buy much of anything until their stocks recover.

This is just one fact of life we all have to live with here in the U.S. and around the world.

It's possible there will be a worldwide GReat Depression caused by Trump's war on Iran too!

Why?

Because rising gas prices are killing and damaging  all economies worldwide right now except for maybe Putin in Russia who will make a gas and oil killing from these rising gas and oil prices. 

It's one of the reasons why he is sending Russian Versions of Shahed Drones built in Russia to Iran because the higher Gas prices go the better economically things go for him and the war in Ukraine.

I think Trump may have defeated the whole free world in some ways by attacking Iran.

Very short sighted and likely more to do with protecting himself from Epstein problems than anything else.

So, several thousand people  heave died from him protecting himself from Epstein Stuff so far around the world. Something to think about!
