This is my wife's best friend since birth and she when she was first born lived here and learned to swim in Santa Rosa before she started sailing on her parents yachts over the years various places like Santa Cruz Island off of Santa Barbara and in the Caribbean Ocean too.
So, this trip is to visit old friends from my wife's childhood. This couple also went with us a couple of years ago to Maui because the other couple we usually go with to Hawaii was in India and Nepal for a few months.
I likely won't go to India or Nepal again simply because I don't want to die from going there over there.
But, I greatly miss many things there from my 5 month trip there with my older children from December of 1985 to almost April of 1986 in Japan, Thailand, Nepal and India. Most of that trip was spent in India and Nepal about 2 months either place and around 2 weeks in Thailand mostly spent at Koi Samed Island near Bangkok snorkeling there and Sailing on a Sailboard and things like this. also, a young Malasian fellow we hired as a guide because he spoke 6 languages ran up coconut palms like he had since he was a child and got us coconuts fresh from the Tree too then.
Anyway, we are up here for a few days to visit old friends while we are all still alive and kicking. :)
