Trump's Biggest Error so far is not understanding: "Chain of Command" in Iran

 In the old days (before the 20th Century) around 1900 and before if you didn't have officers in most foreign armies because someone killed them then the soldiers would all run away. This was pretty normal around the world (Until the United States with it's Chain of Command).

The U.S. "Chain of Command" strategy has won wars ever since. In other words if your soldiers are as committed to doing whatever they are doing as the officers then pretty much an Army cannot really ever be defeated as long as ANY soldier is still alive. Because even if they are defeated out in the open they will regroup as a Guerrila style (covert) army fighting still.

And this is what Trump doesn't seem to understand about Iran either.

The people who think this way are very much like ISIS in this that they will never give up until every one of them are dead and buried (and even then their children and their children and their children might still fight back because this is a part of the Iranian tradition.

It doesn't take many Terrorists (Fundamentalists) of ANY religion to destroy the world for anyone else.

In Fact, it only takes one with a nuclear weapon Backpack nuke ready to die for what they believe.

So, what Trump is facing is not something he can really understand in Iran which is in some ways the same kind of fundamentalist thinking (even though ISIS and Iran fundamentalists would and do kill each other regularly because they have different core beliefs sort of like the differences between a Protestant Christian and a Catholic in the 100 years war in Europe in history.

So, what Trump did was wade into a 1000 year war between Shia Muslims and Sunni Muslims here where neither side will ever give up until they and all their children's children's children are dead.

There is no surrender for these groups there is only death and the hope that their children will continue this battle on all sides.

Trump is a fool not to have considered this as part of his equation for trying to solve this problem.

Europe has always understood this because they have been dealing with the middle east for several thousand years already. But, Trump demonstrates his ignorance about all this every day now.

Looking at Trump my thought is: "Why is Trump such a Moron he just doesn't get all this?"

I personally think he is just too senile at this point to ever get any of this.
