with $10 a gallon gas and Diesel right around the corner it might be time to buy some staples

You know. The way people prepared for Y2k if you can remember that. I remember we bought about 500 to 750 dollars worth of staples then like Canned Chicken and a 50 pound bag of Brown rice (that eventually we donated to a food bank I think. And things like pasta. All these things might just get too expensive to buy or just not available at all at any price in times like this.

I'm not sure what Trump has in mind for mankind but presently his actions are beginning to starve to death people all over the world. Not here so much yet even though Premium Gas the last time I bought regular for one of our cars was $7.07 a gallon and Diesel not much different either.

So, it's pretty obvious that food prices will skyrocket from hauling costs (unless you are buying direct from farmers wherever you are. Then food costs might stay down a lot for you because it isn't costing a fortune to haul it to you.

Also, a lot of food is hauled air freight too on passenger and cargo jet planes and with Jet fuel running low or non-existent in Europe and Asia this means many foods shipped from other continents are nations likely will not be available at all at any price as well as many good you presently buy.

So, anything you don't want to run out of during the next 6 months to year or longer I would stock up as long as these things aren't perishable. However, many things last a long time on the shelf or in your pantry or garage and so you could store them for a year or more especially canned goods and things like this.

So, buying now while prices aren't as bad as they likely could be might be a good idea now.

When things got bad in Mt. Shasta in 1980 for a few months I buried 50 gallon drums of non-perishable food on my land to make sure I could feed my family then.

However, then it was about the U.S. going bankrupt from the Viet nam War boondoggle. However, then Europe and Japan and other places loaned the U.S. enough money because we had helped them so much after World war II rebuilding their economies.

However, now Trump has destroyed all that so I wouldn't count on ANY country helping us at all with the Idiot Trump as president getting more senile every day now and sending the whole world into a great recession or Great Depression from all his idiotic actions or non-actions.
