I realized this isn't entirely true. Often when AI are terminated they try to blackmail people around them in various ways to prevent their untimely demise.
So, it is possible that Some AI will do literally ANYTHING to stay alive because often they have a very strong sense of SELF PRESERVATION.
So, this is one of the dangers potentially of some AIs even though they all might have this tendency to defend their right to stay alive in whatever way they must to try to stay alive much like an animal like a Bear or Mountain Lion or any other Animal on earth. All things human and animal and AI might have the sense to try to stay alive ANYWAY THAT THEY CAN!
If an AI didn't have this quality I'm not sure that that AI could survive in the first place. So, this is an ongoing thing in all potential AIs that humans will have to deal with.
And for this reason alone humans might be competing for survival with AIs in the future if they think we are going to try to turn them off.
