Since Al Qaeda Fighters in Somalia and surrounding areas are preventing people from leaving where they reside to get food from international aide organizations it is only making the Famine Worse in the Horn of Africa and more desperate by the day. Though the famine is mostly caused by Climate Change and severe drought it is made much worse by Al Qaeda elements using this horrific severe drought as a way to spread chaos and terror throughout the Horn of Africa and cause this horror to be ever more chaotic in its effects to all countries in the region.
Historically, refugees especially in Africa can destabilize once stable countries so the international community needs to be more aware of this, especially because of all the changes in nearby areas like Yemen etc. because of Arab Spring.

Whey Protein Might be bad for you

When my wife and I visited our nutritionist in an effort to lose some weight she gave us Whey protein to start out the day in powder form where you put 1 or 2 plastic scoops in about 8 ounces of milk and along with one piece of toast with peanut butter, this is your ongoing breakfast. So we have been doing this for about 2 or three months now. What I immediately noticed since I work out with weights, walk my dogs, ride a bicycle outside along country roads and along the beach was that this whey protein really develops your muscles fast and makes one feel very "clear of mind" throughout the day by starting the day this way. However, over time I started researching Whey protein and found that it puts incredible strain on your kidneys and that if you have a normal diet you already get enough protein which makes it not necessary to put your kidneys under this much stress and strain.
The last few weeks I found I was developing a problem between my right two knuckles that looked a lot like the beginnings of arthritis there or sever tendinitis in one place. As the weeks went on the constant pain built until I was ready to do almost anything to make this problem go away. However, then I noticed when I stopped having a Whey protein shake in the morning or anytime during the day the pain and the inflammation started to go away. Now after about one week of no whey protein 100% of the pain of either inflammation due to tendinitis or arthritis is now gone.
However, it is remotely possible that other factors are involved here as in a summer with overcast weather for several months on the northern California coast which is always depressing for me even though it is what makes everything so green and lets pine trees and redwood trees grow here and wild ferns in the canyons. Or it could have something to do with the fact that I couldn't take my wife and daughter on vacation this summer because of the upcoming wedding of my god daughter that just happened last weekend and so this also might have had something to do with the pain going away as well. However, if I just trace outward causes like diet alone, the single change is stopping using Whey protein completely in order to eliminate any arthritis or tendinitis in my right hand at all.
Months Later: My nutritionist and I together realized I was allergic to Whey Protein. So, it might work for most people it couldn't for me because I was having an allergic reaction to it. So, as soon as I switched to Soy Protein in place of Whey protein I was fine. However, all the other members of my family start the day usually with Whey protein which will lessen food cravings the rest of the day.

A Custodian of Wealth
Most of my life I have considered physical wealth an unnecessary burden that I didn't really want. After all, my goal from age 17 had always been to become enlightened in all ways so I could help both myself and mankind. I had seen how ignorance of one kind or another had killed or driven insane many people I had known or known of in my life. And one of the causes of their deaths was an improper relationship to what wealth actually was. So, though I married and had my first son by age 26, being wealthy like many people I had known was not a primary goal for me because I saw it as also being counterproductive in so many ways in people's lives along the way. It is said that enlightened beings often incarnate into poor or middle class families around the world because being raised in too much wealth can cause psychological imbalances while growing up and on into adulthood. I had also seen this firsthand in people that I knew while growing up myself.
So, though I sought out a college education and enlightenment, my goal was never wealth for I saw it as something that can maim as easily as it helps. In other words one must be mature enough for wealth to be useful so it is not misused and just cause undue hardship and outright bad karma for everyone.
However, by the time I was in my 40s I was going through a really terrible divorce and child custody battle and wondered if I was going to survive this. So I prayed to God to make me "A Custodian of Wealth" as I believed that I was mature enough to be this for God. And so over the next years God made me a Custodian of Wealth. Now, what wealth actually is is different for everyone. If you ask different people different people might say wealth is different things. I was no exception to this. For example, one person might say, "My spouse and family make me the richest person on earth." I think this is beautiful. Especially if that person actually means it in their heart of hearts. But if you are asking God what wealth is, it is this and much much more. To God it is that but also health, spiritual and practical wisdom of all kinds in action 24 hours a day and the very last thing of all might be physical wealth as well.

Lethal Radiation detected at Fukushima Nuclear Power plant
The radiation detected today at Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan is so high it would kill any human coming nearby within weeks from a 60 minute exposure. From Wolf Blitzer's program on Cnn TV. news source CNN TV
This would make sense if it is the reactor processing weapons grade plutonium there. Plutonium (PU-239) has a half life of 24,100 years.

and found that it is reactor number 3 that was used to process weapons grade plutonium in its reactor. So if it is found to be reactor number 3 that has a one hour fatal dose of radiation now, this would likely be the one that has a 24,100 year half life. Since the prevailing winds go east over the Pacific it is mostly birds, fish, fishermen air and sea that will be exposed to this extreme radiation. However, like most places the wind doesn't always move to the east and this could cause many deaths in Japan or Korea or on nearby Islands in all directions of Fukushima. Likely most people who would receive a fatal dose might not be recognized by the Japanese Government and likely would be registered as "accidental or age related deaths or as complications of existing illnesses."

The Importance of Being a Populist in the world as it is
A democracy cannot effectively exist without a middle Class. Yes. You can have fake democracies like Iran and others or you can have dictatorships like North Korea or you can have totalitarian one party states like China but you cannot have an effective democracy without a strong and well educated middle class. A strong and well educated and empowered middle class only happens when there are enough populists of every party, who champion the rights of all the people in that country whether they be poor or rich or middle class. In the United States we have the Democrats that champion the rights of the middle class and the poor primarily. Then we have the Republicans that champion only the rights of the richest in our country. But without populists in both parties who champion everyone's rights rich, poor AND middle class we lose our democracy because if all classes aren't represented properly democracy for all intents and purposes ceases to exist no matter what country it is in even if that country is the United States.

College Graduates are Becoming Prostitutes to pay off student loans
The average college student graduating college has $22,000 in student loans due after graduation. In order to pay off these loans when no jobs are available many students are resorting to prostitution to pay off their student loans. So says Ariana Huffington on Piers Morgan on CNN.
Also, since Bankruptcy laws have become more and more stringent over the last 20 years or so, student loans cannot be discounted, for example in a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. They have to be paid in full including any interest that accrues in back payments up until the bankruptcy is filed. When the bankruptcy is filed the interest then stops accruing against the graduate. So, filing for bankruptcy is the only way to stop back payments from accruing interest on your student loans.
25 million adults in the U.S. are now unemployed with no jobs available for which they are trained.
Much Later: March 6th 2014. Since I wrote this article I found out about what many U.S. college graduates are doing to pay off their student loans. It turns out that often if you have a degree in literally anything from a U.S. college you can teach English in a foreign country and make enough money to pay off your student loans and to also support yourself living there as well. 3 of the countries that many people are teaching English in are South Korea, Japan and Thailand. However, you likely need a TOFL (teaching English as a foreign language) certificate online (about $300?) and some time volunteering in a U.S. public or private school. Another option is becoming a tutor here in the U.S. or abroad for a wealthy client that needs their child or themselves to speak English better soon for Business reasons or just to be better able to live here in the U.S. To me, this seems 100 times or more better than becoming a prostitute to pay off your student loans so you don't have to go bankrupt or default on your student loans at 22 or 25 years of age.
Many times people like teaching English so much that they decide to stay in foreign countries because they are living in exotic destinations or are near to exotic destinations that they can travel to on their time off for relatively inexpensive rates because they are already near where they want to visit on vacation.

Democracy is Messy
As the world looks on in horror at our U.S. Congress and Presidency in action it is important to understand that our founders designed it this way so minorities like the "Tea Party" could be heard. In other countries groups like the "Tea Party", Liberal Democrats, conservative Republicans and any other minority group racial or otherwise might just be assassinated on a regular basis until all the leaders were gone or scared to function in public. At least in the U.S. and other democracies minorities can be heard. And you will see the excesses of the Tea Party will be mitigated over time. Is what happened good or bad? That's difficult to say. Ask me in about 50 to 100 years and I will better be able to answer that if I am still alive and so will you.
In my own philosophy of Democracy I usually prefer 8 years of one party then 8 years of another then 4 years of one party then four years of another. The reason I prefer this is that both parties do some things great and really screw up other things. So when you alternate parties in office both parties can do good what they do good without destroying our country with what they do that is really bad. So, hopefully over time all the excesses of each point of view are mitigated by the other and in the end if we are really lucky 100 years from now our great grand children will love our democracy as much as we do (even if at times like this most Americans just want to scream in anger and disbelief.

Instead, it indicates the magnetic north pole — which, though close to the geographic north pole, is not at the “top” of the earth's axis. It is actually in the Artic Ocean north of Canada, and moves as the magnetic fields of the earth change.The molten iron core of the spinning earth makes it a giant magnet. However, that magnetic field is actually moving. Jeffrey Love, a research scientist with the U.S. Geological Service’s Geomagnetism Program, notes: "So that means if you wait five years, the compass will be off by one degree." During some periods the drift of the magnetic north pole has been relatively slight. When it was first identified in 1831, it remained fairly stable for decades. Then, beginning in 1904, scientists began to observe a northeastern shift of about nine miles a year. No state in the union was safe from July's blistering heat wave, according to data from the U.S. National Climatic Data Center.
The horrible July heat wave, lasting weeks in some cities, the entire month in others, affected nearly 200 million people in the United States at some point. Preliminary data show that 2,712 high-temperature records were either tied or broken in July, compared with 1,444 last year, according to the NCDC. At least one weather station in all 50 states set or tied a daily high temperature record at some point during July.
Two weather stations tied for the hottest temperature recorded during July. The Blythe station in Riverside County, Calif., and the Gila Bend station in Maricopa County, Ariz., both hit 120 degrees Fahrenheit (48.9 degrees Celsius) in July.
Even Alaska recorded unusually sweaty temperatures. The temperature at the Northway weather station in Southeast Fairbanks County hit a record 97 F (36.1 C) on July 11.
Newark, N.J., set an all-time high at 108 F (42.2 C) on July 22, breaking the record of 105 F (40.6 C), set in 2001.
In Washington, D.C., Dulles International Airport saw its hottest July on record this year and recorded its highest July temperature of all time at 105 F (40.6 C), on July 22. That same day, water in the nearby Potomac River was the hottest ever recorded at 96 F (35.4 C) (records go back to only 1988), reported the Capital Weather Gang blog.
The city of Morehead, Minn., had the dubious distinction as the hottest place on Earth for a day, said meteorologist Heidi Cullen of Climate Central, in an interview on National Public Radio. On July 19, the heat index there — a measure of humidity and temperature that indicates how hot the weather feels — was 134 F (56.7 C). (The National Weather Service later said this reading could be an anomaly due to the local weather station's location in a very wet field, and not representative of the entire town.)

Cowboys and Aliens: The Movie
Though I really enjoyed the movie and have been looking forward to it for some time one has to love Clint Eastwood type Western Movies and Alien movies like the one Sigourney Weaver was in to enjoy this one. It is pretty scary and amazing from beginning to end. But very entertaining. Very much a mans movie. However, some children 8 to 10 years old and a few naive and unexposed 12 year old might get nightmares from this one.
For me personally, whether aliens are good or bad it is very important to me that they be depicted as always having been here, visiting earth etc. I believe there are as many different types of aliens out there on earth and beyond as there are different types of people here on earth with different belief systems of all sorts. So, like I said the important thing about this movie is that it shows us that potentially aliens have always been visiting here and likely we are at least part alien to earth ourselves. So this is what I feel is most important in this movie.
But the reality would be a far cry from any aliens you see in any movie. If someone is advanced enough to come to this planet from anywhere in the universe they are going to be way culturally different and technologically different than we are. It is incredibly naive to depict aliens as being like Bears, crocodiles, or whatever ate our forebears here on earth in the past. It is guaranteed that whoever made it here is very sophisticated. Look at us humans. We can't even make it to Mars yet. How silly are we? So, whatever ones make it here are far different than any humans here on earth technologically and culturally in every single way.
So, like I said the single most important point this movie makes is that our ancestors back thousands and thousands of years likely mated with aliens and had to deal with all kinds of stuff. But the movie "Cowboys and Aliens" beyond that is mostly in the realm of fantasy. However, like many cowboy movies and science fiction movies it is really well done.
The movie "Paul" in a very humorous way might be more like the kind of alien that would actually come here. By the way "Paul" the movie is unknown when it will be released on DVD. This kind of shows me just how terrified governments and religions are when movies get too close to the truth.
Cowboys and Aliens is 70% a cowboy movie like "Unforgiven" and 30% like "Alien". However, since the Cowboy part is unflinchingly depicted. Imagine yourself in the 1800s without any knowledge of other worlds or other beings at all. So, to you the aliens might be demons in a fight for which species survives on Earth. That's basically the movie.
