It's no easy thing to become a Whole Person

The Traumas of our lives fragment us often into many pieces like shards of a broken mirror.

Then as adults we need to start healing ourselves any way that we can so we can marry and raise our children so we don't mess them up too like we were.

Meeting my wife when I was 46 and she was 39 I immediately knew that this was a whole and very intelligent person rare to find these days like a highly polished diamond.

However, someone this refined through a good life and a good education is too scary for many men to deal with. So, for me, even I had to up my game a lot to be able to stay in her life. However, she was always worth it.

For example, I had to give up living in Mt. Shasta since 1994 so the last time I lived there was 1992 with my ex and three of my four children then and then we had another daughter born in 1996 too. She was 39 years old when we met and had lived with men but never had been married whereas I had already married and been divorced twice when we met.

So, part of my becoming a whole person in my own eyes was to marry for a third time.

My cousin who has been a very successful Lawyer since the late 1960s said to me: "You just kept trying until you got it right!" (in regard to not giving up until I found the right person to spend the rest of my life with.

He and his wife were married in 1969 and are still married with 9 grandchildren and they had 3 children too.

So, I would say I have been working on being a whole person my whole life now and it's no easy thing to put all the fragments of yourself together from all the traumas I experienced from birth to 1969 or 1970.

It doesn't mean my traumas ended then it just means I wasn't prepared for the traumas at all between birth and 1970.

By 1970 I was 22 years old and just starting to figure things out so I could even choose to survive here on planet earth at all.

And by 26 I was married with a new son and then it didn't matter what I thought I had to take care of my wife and son which worked for me and then by 29 I was a single father raising my son.

The Grandfather Puzzle Pieces Together a Family History One Man Wouldn’t Talk About

 begin quote:

The Grandfather Puzzle Pieces Together a Family History One Man Wouldn’t Talk About

If your truths kill you, What good is that?

It's not that people are wrong to have all the things that they think. However, if the truths you come up with kill you what good is that?

The point is: Truth should help you survive. If your "Truths" don't help you survive here on earth "What good are they?"

I had to come to terms with the fact that people who stay alive are all insane and that all people who are really intelligent would naturally kill themselves which is true.

So, if the intelligence to really figure things out kills you then what good is it?

I like Einstein's statement the best:

"Without Common Sense, Intelligence isn't very useful."

Why is this true?

How many super intelligent people buy a fast plane or car or fast motorcycle or become drug addicts and then they are gone in a flash.

So, here is my statement: "Without Common Sense your intelligence will ONLY KILL YOU!"

And this is the truth of life that I have found to be the most true.

So, when I found Jesus and Saint Germain and Archangel Michael and the Archangels I stopped being afraid.

And when I found Tibetan Buddhism I stopped being afraid at all. Why?

I'm not sure I can explain it in words but this might be the best way:

"THE WAY THAT CAN BE THOUGHT OF OR SPOKEN OF IS NOT THE TRUE PATH OR THE TRUE WAY"

WHY IS THIS TRUE?

It's true because Enlightenment can ONLY be experienced first hand and not talked or written about.

So, if you understand this truth and are compassionate to yourself and all other beings then you likely are already on the path to enlightenment WHICH THEN HELPS ALL BEINGS IN THE UNIVERSE SURVIVE.

SO, WHEN YOU ARE ON THE PATH TO ENLIGHTENMENT YOU ARE LIFE AFFIRMING FOR ALL BEINGS IN THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE THROUGHOUT ALL UNIVERSES!

About 25% of Buddhists believe in God and in a Soul. I am one of these.

For me, Tibetan Buddhism always suited my mind stream. However, my path started as a mystical Christian in the way that I was raised. Experiencing God and Jesus and Saint Germain and Archangel Michael since about age 2 and the other Archangels gave me a path forward in life so I could stay alive through whooping cough at age 2 and a rock climbing concussion at age at age 9 at Chilao with my father in the Angeles Crest National Forest then likely in 1957.

Why would I give up believing in God and Jesus and Saint Germain and Archangel Michael if this was the only way I could survive to even age 15 as a child at all in any way?

In the end, if one doesn't think and believe in a way that keeps them alive they are  only dead  and that's all.

I got a different answer than I expected regarding Buddha's Soul Travel to other planets but it is still amazing!

begin quote from AI Overview

In early Buddhist scriptures and cosmology, the concept of the soul does not exist, but Gautama Buddha and his highly realized disciples are described as using psychic or meditative power (Iddhi) to travel between billions of inhabited worlds.
Rather than a "soul travel" event—as Buddhism fundamentally rejects an eternal soul (Anatta)—ancient texts like the Anguttara Nikaya outline a vast, populated cosmos where the Buddha’s spiritual realm extends across multiple world-systems containing billions of sentient beings.
The Scale of the "Billions of Worlds"
Long before modern astronomy discovered galaxies, early Buddhist texts mapped out a universe of mind-boggling scale. The texts group the cosmos into hierarchical structures:
  • Single World System (Loka-dhātu): Comprises one planet Earth, its sun, moon, and surrounding celestial bodies.
  • Small Chiliocosm: A cluster of 1,000 single world systems.
  • Medium Chiliocosm: A cluster of 1,000 small chiliocosms (1,000,000 worlds).
  • Great Trichiliocosm (Sahasra): A massive cluster of 1,000 medium chiliocosms. This totals exactly 1,000,000,000 (one billion) world systems.
This billion-world cluster is known as a "Buddha-field" (Buddhakṣetra), which is the cosmic domain that a single Supreme Buddha can physically influence, illuminate, or visit using his mind and spiritual power.
Interplanetary Travel in Buddhist Scripture
Instead of traditional "soul travel," the scriptures describe a form of spiritual projection or teleportation fueled by deep meditative absorption (Jhana). According to text translations from platforms like Reddit's r/Buddhism and specialized Buddhist centers:
  • The Buddha's Travels: Suttas mention the Buddha visiting higher heavenly realms (like the Tavatimsa heaven) to teach his deceased mother and the celestial beings residing there. He also explicitly stated that his voice and mind could penetrate a thousand-fold or billion-fold world system to teach the Dharma.
  • Moggallāna, the Cosmic Traveler: The Buddha’s chief disciple, Mahāmaudgalyāyana (Moggallāna), was renowned for his supreme psychic powers. In one famous scriptural account, Moggallāna wondered how far the Buddha's voice could travel. He used his abilities to fly across space to a completely different, distant world system. There, the inhabitants were towering giants, and when they noticed him, they were astonished by the "tiny human monk" who had traversed the universe to visit them.
Soul vs. Mind Streams
While these ancient stories mirror science fiction, the mechanics differ entirely from typical astral projection. Buddhism teaches that there is no static "soul" to detach from the body. Instead, it is the highly trained, unburdened mind stream (Citta) that can manifest a mind-made body (Manomayadhāna) capable of instantly traversing world systems without physical limitations.
