There are many ways to look at this. If we think sort of like Walt Disney creating Mickey Mouse and Disneyland on TV and then Disneyland in Anaheim there is both creativity, magical thinking but also pragmatism and practicality involved.
If we ask about people like Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak who founded Apple Computer there is also, Creativity, Magical thinking and pragmatism and practicality and showmanship involved along with the ability of Steve Wozniak as a electronic technician and Engineer alongside Steve Jobs who understood the technology but also who was an entrepreneur and philosopher and able to explain his dreams of what he was going to create next to the layman.
So, Creativity isn't enough for most things. Magical thinking isn't enough for most things. Pragmatism isn't enough for most things. Practicality isn't enough for most things.
So, this is why if you are going to start your own business you need all these things to be successful.
In fact, any idea usually needs some of all these things to become successful.
And also, all businessmen who are successful are usually going to tell you they learned much more from their business failures than their successes.
Also, another way to see this is: "A wheel made of a round of a tree was once a dream in someone's mind.
A house made of wood or concrete or metal was once a dream in someone's mind.
A city made of wood and metal and glass was once a dream in many different people's minds.
Anything other than just wild nature was a dream in someone's mind until they made it a reality.
So, literally everything in life in developed countries today is both a result of Creativity and Magical Thinking isn't it? (with pragmatism and practicality or it never would have happened, would it)?
