Being Golden Dragon

Or Visions and what they mean to you and me:

Many people wonder what Visions are all about. First of all visions often are synchronitic and are beyond conceptions of time and space. For people living in a linear world that they think is real this can be very difficult to deal with. But, for people used to instinctual and intuitive thought this might be easier. If you have a hunch that something is true and you find out you were right was that hunch a vision? Maybe. Either way Visions can be very important to a person. Visions often define our path in life by experiencing something at a more subconscious level than we might ordinarily. People who think all that is going on is right here in the here and now likely might wind up being very shortsided or dead if they think that is all there is.

So, whether you believe in God or not is actually less important to your psychological and physical survival than understanding the nature of life on earth and beyond. And, instinctual, intuitive understanding of the world inside us and around us is often necessary if we want to live very long in life.

I have watched brilliant people who could do almost anything wreck their expensive car because they weren't entirely integrated in themselves. So, one way I would see this is one repressed part of them killed the other parts who demanded a very narrow view of reality.

In the end it is my everyday experience that you really cannot separate yourself from all life in the universe. And beyond that you really cannot separate yourself from life in every time and space. Running from this only causes self destruction and unhappiness. Accepting that you intersect with all life, all time and space in the universe is a way to in some ways never die.

Visions are one way the universe in all time and space communicates with you. Some people call this God or even Buddha or just Life or Nature. However, you want to see it, understanding that you are the universe and the universe is you in all time and space might be one of the most helpful things to be aware of that you ever do.

So, for me, under the tutelage of a Blackfoot Sioux Medicine Man I became a 50 foot tall Golden Dragon after not eating any food or drinking any water for 2 days and nights during a spiritual Vision Quest. This was something that led me within 2 years to meeting many Tibetan Lamas and spending 4 months in India and Nepal and time in Thailand and Japan as well. It showed me a path forwards that I likely never would have thought of before. Even though I had many other visions while praying for 4 days and nights continually in a bear wallow on the side of the Trinity River in Northern California, this one vision of Becoming a Golden Dragon who breathed out the Fire of Enlightenment on thousands of people still makes the most sense to me in my life today, even though this happened in  the summer of 1983, 30 years ago this summer.
