IT costs 100 million dollars a day for the government to shut down over and above any normal costs of doing business. This is what taxpayers will be paying for a shutdown including those in Government jobs who won't be paid for working and instead be given IOUs. Also, all National Parks will shut down along with the government just like in 1995 and 1996 when Gingrich and Bill Clinton were doing a similar dance to this one when the government shut down more than once.
