In the short run it likely is going to be somewhat of a nightmare for businesses and individuals to deal with. But, imagine your relative or friend once on it and getting used to paying these premiums doesn't have to die or be permanently maimed because when something bad happens internally in their bodies or because of an accident doesn't have to just die or lose their home, livelihood and everything they own.
Insurance is like this. You pay a little every month then when something catastrophic happens you don't have to die, lose your career or end your life because of it. In the short run Obamacare will be a nightmare to get used to. But in the long run the whole nation will be healthier and saner for it than it has ever been before.
Also, it isn't perfect and everyone knows this. So, it will slowly be modified into a more perfect form over time just like Social Security and Medicare were too over time.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
