Begin Quote from: Chapter 1 of "Race against the Machine"
--- The root of our problems is not that we're in a Great Recession, or a Great Stagnation, but rather that we are in the early throes of a Great Restructuring. Our technologies are racing ahead but many of our skills an organizations are lagging behind. So it's urgent that we understand these phenomenoa, discuss their implications, and come up with strategies that allow human workers to race ahead with machines instead of racing against them.

"Great Restructuring" is vital for people who want to not only understand what is happening but also to train to not Race "Against the Machine" but in harmony with the machines.
This is a greater problem to solve than was created by the Industrial Revolution around the world when that happened. Just study the real history of what that did and you will get a vague idea of just how serious this one is.
The best word I have heard to describe how serious this is would be "The Singularity" in that what is coming cannot fully be predicted as to what will happen or as to it's eventual outcome.
Just look at what the Industrial Revolution brought. It brought everything from Army Tanks to Machine Guns to Nuclear weapons to the Home computer and passenger airlines that fly millions around the globe.
What will the Great Restructuring and the Singularity bring?
We are yet to find out but we will soon.
Your earnest heartfelt participation and mine will help shape what comes next.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
