A Diverse and Interesting Life

It never ceases to amaze me how many things one can do and learn in one lifetime. Though I almost didn't survive my 20s (or my 40s) and even the last year has been a little sketchy at times, I look back at my life and am amazed.

When I talk to people about going to India and Nepal for 4 months with my family people look at me and think I have always been wealthy or something. That isn't really true. In the 1980s I was just very intelligent and Ballzy and resourceful.

Having an amazing life I think is mostly about choosing to actually live your life rather than just being a victim to your life like many or most people are. People tend to be victims of their parents points of views or victims of one thing or another in their lives.

I think for me things just got so psychologically difficult that just saying "forget it" to most demands on me gave me the courage to actually live an amazing life. The nearness of suicide exploded the basic structure of false pride right out of me so if I was going to live it wasn't going to be a false life like so many people I grew up with. So, I tried to be genuine even though what genuine actually is changed in definition as I grew older and wiser. So, motivation, compassion and sincerity became my bywords and helping people survive their difficulties without killing themselves became a byword for my life.

Putting people before money always has given me very good karma. And as most of us know what goes around comes around eventually. So, my life is still growing in amazingness every single day still. If you go through each day knowing "What goes around comes around" you will treat both yourself and all beings much better and your life and karma will be the better for it in every way.
