I didn't realize the numbers were that stark until today. Yesterday I learned there are 1 billion Sunnis. I had thought maybe there were 300 million Shias and maybe 500 million Sunnis but no.
This explains why Iran is aligned so ferociously with Russia in order to survive all this. ISIL is now a way for those 1 billion Sunnis to send their young men to extinct all Shias and Christians (and any other denomination of what they call (non-believers) in the middle east and wherever else they want to strike (non-believers) next. So, the world needs to be aware of this fact. If we witness extinction of Shias (which because of Russia I don't think this is likely). However, I suppose in this world anything is possible in the end.
