My wife says her favorite summer show is one on HBO called "The Brink"
Tim Robbins and Jack Black and Aasiv Mandvi wrote this amazingly funny
1/2 hour a week series. It deals with some of the same issues we dealt
with in "Dr. Strangelove". The hardest part of this 1/2 hour series is
having to wait for the next segment.
Basically, a crazy leader in a nuclear armed country wants to launch nukes against Israel which is where this incredibly funny satire begins. But, it doesn't end there is just gets funnier and funnier sort of like "Dr. Strangelove" does.
The biggest difference is this one's in color and not black and white and instead of Peter Sellers you have Jack Black and Tim Robbins as the comedy foils as well as others.
At the time I'm writing this 8 of the 10 segments have already been made and shown on HBO. So, you likely could catch up if you can find the first 8 segments.
