Over the years my readership has grown a lot worldwide. However, I have noticed that Google might be blocked more now in places like China and Russia the last few years. So, if you have a blogger.com address for your blog likely it won't get through to there much any more. So, more and more appears to be not an Iron curtain like there was up until the 1990s but there definitely is an "Electronic firewall or curtain" where things people say in the U.S. are no longer heard much in Russia or China.
My thought is that this is dangerous for world peace at the very least in the short and long term.
