The answer to this likely is: "Yes".
There likely never was a politician more successful than manipulating the media to his corner than Trump.
Part of this is that politics mostly is really boring stuff that mostly lawyers do best.
But, Trump is not a lawyer that I know of.
He's an entrepreneur who loves the limelight. So, manipulating the media and getting attention is what Trump loves to do. But, that doesn't mean he is going to be President either. It just means he is good at manipulating the media which means he is manipulating the dialogue of Americans, which is a good thing and a bad thing.
It's a good thing in that people are talking about real problems which he is bringing up which wouldn't be talked about much otherwise. So, real issues are being talked about which is important.
However, the bad thing is Trump is manipulating the media at the expense of every other important issue which might need to be discussed here in the U.S.
