Since I'm an older person who witnessed the chaos here in the U.S. before Political Correctness I think I can speak to what it is good for and what it is not good for.
What it is generally good for is Saving lives.
What it is not good for is getting anything at all seriously done.
It saves lives through diplomatic lies.
In the same way diplomats lie to other countries in a polite way, people who are politicians lie to their people in polite ways too.
However, in the end even though it saves lives it also ruins lives too because there is simply not enough clarity to make sense of anything.
It's as if people were walking down the street and what they wanted to say was "Fuck You!" to every person they met. But, instead they said, "Good Morning!" and "Have a nice day!" when they really wanted to go get a bomb and blow everyone up.
You see the problem I'm addressing here. If you have to lie ALL THE TIME about how you feel maybe one day you are so very confused you don't know what you feel about anything ever again.
This is the present state of affairs in the U.S. where the average person has no idea what they feel or think unless they get really really angry. But by that point people often get guns and then their lives are over.
So, as an older person Political correctness is about (extreme view about political correctness) sort of like deciding to kill yourself because you cannot tell someone you love them and want to marry them because (it wouldn't be politically correct to do so).
So, if we apply political correctness to falling in love and getting married, if everyone was politically correct they would not be allowed to fall in love, get married or have children.
This is sort of just how bad things have become here in America where if you actually say how you feel, you lose your job, become homeless and then might become one of the ranting raving people on the sides of roads you see talking to themselves.
OR you just realize society and political correctness is complete insanity and you play the game while understanding society has completely gone nuts.
It's a lot like people taking Prosac or other mood altering drugs so they don't know who they are anymore or might commit suicide while going on or off these drugs.
So, I guess the way I feel about political correctness is about the way I feel about mood altering drugs.
Both things just make people completely crazy and deranged even though they also might save lives.
Maybe the best way to put this is society is so out of balance right now it is about to explode in a variety of ways.
And one of the ways it is exploding in anger is through Trump.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
